International cell phone travel request

What is this Service?

Use this service to report you will be travelling outside of Canada with your NSCC or BYOD cell phone.

  • All NSCC cell phones have international roaming turned off and will not work on cellular networks outside of Canada. If you are travelling internationally, including to the United States.
  • Depending on your destination, you may be asked to purchase and expense an eSIM. 
  • When travelling internationally (including to the US) with an NSCC or BYOD device for either business or personal reasons, users are now required to provide the dates of travel and the locations they will be travelling to, including any cities you may be travelling through (e.g. connecting airports), cities travelled through. This is required to meet Provincial audit and cyber security requirements.

Please note NSCC-issued cell phones cannot be used aboard cruise ships while at sea.

International cell phone travel requests are to be submitted 10 days prior to departure date and no more than 30 days in advance of departure date. This is to ensure requests are submitted in a timely manner to Bell.
