1. Archiving in the Outlook Desktop App

Method A: Manual Archive

  1. Open Outlook on your computer.
  2. Go to the File tab.
  3. Select Tools > Clean Up Old Items.
  4. In the Archive dialogue box:
    • Choose Archive this folder and all subfolders.
    • Select the folder you want to archive (e.g., Inbox).
    • Set a date under “Archive items older than”.
    • Choose a location for the archive .pst file.
  5. Click OK.
    Your older emails will move to the archive file, which you can access from the Navigation Pane under Archives.

Method B: AutoArchive Settings

  1. Go to File > Options > Advanced.
  2. Under AutoArchive, click AutoArchive Settings.
  3. Configure:
    • How often AutoArchive runs.
    • Age of items to archive.
    • Location of the archive file.
  4. Click OK to apply.
