Intune - How to Enroll a Library Loaner Device with Intune

What is this?

The following article will walk you through step by step how to prepare a Library Loaner Laptop for deployment to a student.

 

Instructions

  1. When the laptop is returned to the Library by a student. Contact DI&Tech to have the laptop wiped remotely and reset for the next customer.
  2. If the laptop is new from the DI&Tech team please follow these instructions
  3. The device should be at one of the following screens

    Once you get to this screen. Press and HOLD the power button until the device turns off completely. ***THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT*** Powering off the laptop ensures that the customer is prompted to connect to their WiFi network once they get it home to set up.
  4. Provide the device to the student. Suggest that they take the device home to set it up. Do not request that they turn it on while on campus. This is to ensure that the device stays connected to the internet for the duration of the enrollment.
