How to install InTune on your Android cell phone for BYOD

What is InTune?

InTune is a set of tools used to manage and maintain the use of mobile devices within an organization. For NSCC all mobile devices such as Apple iPhones and Samsung Galaxy devices must be entered into InTune.

For NSCC-provided cell phones:

• When the end user recieves their NSCC device and turns it on for the first time they will be prompted that the device is managed by NSCC and that they need to complete the InTune Company Portal registration in order to use the device. 

For users participating in the Bring your own device program:

• Users are required to install and log into InTune on their device. 

Setting up a Android Device With InTune Company Portal

To setup an Android device with InTune, you need to first download it from the Google Play Store. You will need to be logged into the store to download any apps.

1. Go to the "Google Play Store" on your device.
   
2. With the "Google Play Store" open you will see the search bar at the top of the app. In in the search bar type in "InTune" then select the "Search" button.
   One of the first results will be "InTune Company Portal". Select the download button to install.
    
3. Once downloaded open "Company Portal".
    
4. When you see the "Company Portal" login screen enter in your full NSCC ID (ex. W#@campus.nscc.ca) then select "Next".

5. You will then see a NSCC login screen where you will need to enter in your full NSCC ID & password.

6. Once login has completed you will see the "NSCC Access Setup" screen. Select "Begin" to continue.
   
    
7. The next screen will show you what "NSCC can never see" & "NSCC may see". From here select "Continue".
   
    
8. You will then be asked to agree to set up a work profile on the device. Slelect "Agree".
   
    
9. Option "1." will now be green indicating the profile has been created. Now select "Continue".
   
    
10. It will return to the "NSCC Access Setup" screen with option "1." & "3" green to indicate that needed settings have been updated. Select "Continue".
    
     
11. You will then see a NSCC login screen where you will need to enter in your full NSCC ID & password.
    
     
12. "You're all set". You should see this screen with oiptions 1-3 all green. From here select "Done".
    
     
13. Your device has now been setup with NSCC's InTune MDM/EDM Management solution.
