OneDrive with Files on Demand
With the new OneDrive client there is a feature called Files on Demand which allows you store file(s)/folder(s) locally on your PC so you can take them with you where you have no network connectivity. Ex Plane or cottage
Instructions
There are 3 icons that you need to become familiar with and what they mean. Please see below.

A look at the icons that you will see in your File Explorer

To Enable Always Available Files follow the steps below.
- Click File Explorer at the bottom of the screen
- On the left hand side choose OneDrive – Nova Scotia Community College
- Browse to your file(s)/Folder(s) that you would like to download to your PC and right click on it
- Choose Always keep on this device
- Once you are done with the files locally you can right click on the file(s)/Folder(s) and click Always keep on this device and it will remove the check and the files that are stored locally.
