Get Help with User Access or request previous grades

What is this service?

Use this service to reactivate or extend students access, request a student(s) grade from a previous offering, or set up a non-nscc account.

Deactivated Student(s):
Deactivated students in Brightspace no longer appear in courses (class lists, assignments, discussion posts, grades, etc.). Despite their non-visible state, student and their data is NOT deleted, it’s just hidden.

Extended Students access to a course:
Student extension requests are only for circumstances where the student did not complete all required course work, need to write supplemental tests, or are on Learning Contracts.

Student extensions are NOT for students to access course work to add to their portfolio, download course content for studying purposes, etc. This is supposed to be completed during the start and end dates of the course. Students are given 35 additional days after the course closes to download content to save for their use.

Requesting a non-NSCC account:
A non-NSCC account is any username/password that is not associated with your personal NSCC W# credentials. An example would be a Faculty’s Demo Student account (W0123456.demo) or a Testing Center Proctor account (W0123456.proctor).

Student Demo account:
Allows employees to access their development shell's content as a student. It cannot be enrolled in a live shell. A faculty can request a maximum of one student demo account.

Testing Center Proctor Account:
 Allows approved users access to proctor/administer tests in selected courses in Brightspace. Approval from Director or Admin of Libraries and Learning Commons required.
