Request Multi-factor Authentication be enabled on your NSCC account

What is this Service?

This service is used to request Office 365 Multi-factor Authentication (MFA) be enabled for your NSCC account.

Please note: Before you submit the request  you must add at least one additional way to confirm your identity in the Security Info portal. For instructions on how to do this, please see this knowledge base article: How to Setup or Update Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a simple best practice that adds an extra layer of security on top of your user name and password.

  • With MFA enabled, when a user signs in to an Office product(eg. Outlook, Teams, Webmail), they will be prompted for their user name and password (the first factor - what they know), as well as for an authentication code from their Microsoft MFA device (the second factor - what they have) eg. Cell phone, Desk phone, code from an Authentication App.
  • Used together, these multiple factors provide increased security for your Work/School account settings and resources.
