JAMF - "NSCC Self Service" Optional Software, Printer, Drivers & Utilities

What is JAMF & NSCC Self Service?

All NSCC Apple computers are managed using "JAMF" which is an Enterprise Device Management solution to deploy, set up and manage Apple computers. Once set up users will have access to optional software, printers, drivers, utilities & resources using the "NSCC Self Service" Portal. 

The "NSCC Self Service" Portal is an application that lists optional software, printers, drivers, utilities & resources that have been approved by NSCC to be installed with a single click without the need for administrative rights.

 

Where Do You Find The "NSCC Self Service" Portal?

"NSCC Self Service" can be found in the Applications folder. From the Desktop, select Go  then select Applications.


How Do You Install Optional Software, Drivers & Resources?

With "NSCC Self Service" open either search for the software you're looking for or select from the categories in the side menubar. 

 

Once you have found the desired option to install select Install. You will see a change in the button from Install > Installing > Done

 

Once the install is complete you will now find it in your applications folder.

 

I Don't See What I'm Looking For Or Want To Request New Software

If you require additional software that is not listed in the "NSCC Self Service" portal you will need to submit a request to have it added by going to "Computer, Software & Printing Requests" and submitting the needed request.
