Using Creative Cloud Desktop to install Adobe Programs

There are three parts to installing Adobe product on your Laptop/Desktop

  1. Approve for use of product.
  2. Install Adobe Creative Cloud.
  3. Install Adobe product.

 

Instructions

Part 1.

There is a limited number of Adobe licenses that the College own. In order for the College to stay compliant with it contact with Adobe you will first need to request a license to be granted to you. Approval of licenses is determined on a case by case bases.

 

To request a license, you will need to submit a Technology Service Desk (TSD) Ticket.

Part 2.

Next you need to install the Adobe Created Cloud software on to your computer. This is done through “Company Portal” (For Intune Laptops) or “Software Center” (For Desktop Workstations).

Company Portal

  1. In the start menu find and start “Company Portal

 

 

  1. Once “Company Portal” opens, find and click on “Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop”.

 

 

 

  1. Click on the “Install Button”.

 

 

  1. It will show “Installed” once it is finished installing.

 

 

 

 

Software Center

 

  1. In the start menu find and start “Software Center”.

 


 

  1. Once “Software Center” opens, find and click on “Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop”.

 

 

 

  1. Click on the “Install Button”.

 

  1. It will show “Installed” once it is finished installing.

 

 

Part 3.

                Once “Creative Cloud Desktop” has been installed on your computer, you will be able to install the Adobe Software you require.

 

  1. Start “Creative Cloud Desktop” software.  You will need to login using your College credential. Be sure to add “@campus.nscc.ca”

 

 

 

  1. Once “Creative Cloud Desktop” find the Adobe product you require and click on the “Install Button”. In this example we are using “Acrobat” but this procedure is the same for all the programs.

Note: If you do not have Approval to receive an Adobe License (See Part 1) you will not be able to install the Adobe Programs.

 

 

  1. Once the software has finish starting it will appear in the “Installed” section.
