This article explains how to use the built in Windows extraction tool to open .ZIP files
Extracting Files from .ZIP Archives
1. Right click on the .ZIP file and click "Extract All..."
2. Choose where you would like your extracted files to be stored (by default this location is wherever your ZIP Archive is.) and click "Extract"
3. By default a new window will open showing you the files that were compressed in the .ZIP archive.
