How to Emailing Users when using the Brightspace email tool

What is this?

Emailing Users in Brightspace Learning Environment - The Email tool allows you to send email from within the Brightspace. However, you cannot receive emails within Brightspace.
Note: Check your Outlook email account for responses.

 

Instructions

To Email Users using the Email tool

On the course home page, click the email icon.

Compose your message and add any attachments.

For more troubleshooting information, see Populating the To, CC, and BCC fields of an email using the address book.

Click Send or Save as Draft to send later.

 

To Email Users using the Class list tool

On the course home page, click down arrow beside Communications and then click Class list

Do one of the following:

  1. Click the down arrow beside the User and click Send Email from the menu. Pending what role you are in Brightspace, this menu may vary.

Send an email

  1. Select the check box for every User you want to email, and then click Email. This will allow you to email the whole class at once.

Click Send or Save as Draft to send later.

Remember to check your Outlook email account for responses.
