Connecting to a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter

What is this?

Contact your local Di&Tech Team to see if you have access to a Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter in your classroom or meeting space.

 

Instructions

You can project from your Windows 10 Laptop or Android Device and collaborate in real time by connecting wirelessly to your projector or monitor in just a few short steps.

1) Turn on your projector/Smartboard/Display and cycle through the HDMI inputs until you see the below image. (this process varies with technology)

  • You should see the following image. The Display Adapter naming protocol is 2 first letters identify your campus, next 2 identify the device, and the remaining numbers and/or letters refer to the room you are in. 

 

2) Go to your Action Center on your laptop (1) and then click connect (2) . You should see the adapter listed. You will potentially see other adapters as well. 

 

3) Once you try to connect, your display device will prompt you with a PIN code to enter.

 

 

4) Type in the PIN code on your laptop or device and click Connect.
